Youth Ministry (UMYF)

Bethany UMC has a long tradition of outstanding youth ministry to young people in grades 6 through 12.  Kris Kent, Bethany’s Director of Children & Youth Ministries, and dedicated volunteers nurture our youth spiritually and teach them God’s ways of loving and serving their peer group and those in need.

Ways to be involved include:

Sunday School Classes

Sunday at 9:45 a.m.  (middle & high school)

UMYF  (United Methodist Youth Fellowship)

Sundays 12:15 – 2 p.m. (twice a month)

District and Conference Retreats, Social Outings, Mission Projects (as scheduled)

SPRING RETREAT 2019 — “THE VERGE”

Eleven youth and two adults left Bethany UMC on Friday, March 10th for the Camp Piankatank District Youth Spring Retreat. There was reflective praise and worship, thought provoking testimonies, fun, fellowship, sports, good food and mud.  Lots of mud! Thank you to the congregation for your faithful giving so some awesome teens could draw to closer to the word of God!
