G.U.E.S.T. Program

G.U.E.S.T. (Gloucester United Emergency Shelter Team)  is a coalition of local churches that work together to provide emergency shelter for the homeless in our area during the winter months. Participating churches provide overnight lodging and meals to those who have no home of their own.  Volunteers must attend a free training session (see training information below).

Bethany UMC will serve as a host site (night shelter) on the following dates.  To volunteer, email Nancy Orth, or click on a date below and you will be redirected to appropriate Sign-Up Genius page:

February 29-March 7, 2016

(Click on the above “Other Site”  link if you cannot serve during Bethany’s host week but wish to serve at other churches or at the Day Shelter.  Volunteers from other churches are always needed and appreciated!)

GUEST VOLUNTEER TRAINING is required for first-time volunteers and highly recommended as a refresher course for those who have served before.   Please contact Al & Judy Burner to schedule training at a mutually-convenient time.

For more information about the GUEST program, contact Al & Judy Burner or visit the GUEST program’s Facebook page.
